Scorn Flakes 01 - Sean Greer

TITLE
Scorn Flakes 01

ARTIST
Sean Greer

ABOUT THE WORK
Scorn Flakes 01 is designer Sean Greer’s reaction to the mounting financial, political and societal challenges many people find themselves currently facing. Food poverty is on the rise whilst the cost of basic every-day items escalates. The work offers a commentary on a contradictory situation where many face a decision to ‘heat or eat’ while being exposed to cynical marketing campaigns and media soundbites. Scorn Flakes 01 empathises with an imagined individual starting their day with oppressive feelings of hopelessness, panic and anger. It aims to acknowledge those feelings and to validate the sense that enough is enough and it’s time for change.

All profits from sale of this work will be donated to charity.
